To mark the publication of The Country Dairies by Alan Taylor, artist John Hinchcliffe is offering a limited number of his handprinted lino-cut illustrations from the book. The 12 illustrations, representing the months of the year, celebrate the unique beauty of the British countryside alongside the thoughts of many of our finest writers over the decades.
From Gilbert White's observations on the natural world to Beatrix Potter's diaries while holidaying in Perthshire, The Country Dairies, (Canongate, October 2009 ISBN 978-1847673237) form a rich potrait of a landscape and way of life we think we know so well.
Prints are £35 each plus £2.50 P&P for any number of them. Each measures 120mm x 185mm, printed in black on white acid-free paper 290mm x 385 mm.
